Screen shots of possible band sequences
Slash from Guns & Roses- November rain
This solo part is very cheesey yet its quite effective in showing the importance of the guitarist during his solo so i may try and use this. He's standing in the middle of a desert with the wind blowing in his face. Its all very rehearsed and corny.
This is a useful shot from the head of the guitar looking down the neck, from this perspective you get a good view of the guitar solo and the finger work that the player is having to utilise showing the skill and talent.
Cross shot of a drum solo these are usually put in a strobe effect so as to give the impression of great speed and power.
In a drum solo there is usually a cut to the drummers feet again to highlight the talent and skill being put into it.
Another common shot is the over head from here you get a good view of the drummer and the kit.
When the singer is doing his thing, its usually a close up as the only body part he's using his his voice so a close up shows the emotion and passion going into the song.
Occasionally the singer may jump around the stage or do something a little out of the ordinary so a wider shot is needed to capture the action.
In this video of Paramore the room is tiny and you get a sense of the size as everyones packed very close together, its almost claustraphobic, im going to aim to do this in my video.
No band scene would be complete without a wide shot of all the band jamming together, this shot shows the unison between each player and gives them a chance to interact with each other, im going to aim to include some antics in my video.
This scene of two of the band mates moshing/ headbanging shows that they're enjoynig the song and are getting an emotvie kick from it, this stirs up emption in the viewer as well, so i shall aim to add some of this to my video.
